Julia Valle Noronha

Project Description Clothes Catalogue XXX Bio Julia Valle Noronha is a designer-researcher-educator that understands fashion as a major force in driving change towards more responsible futures. Her research interest explores this potential especially from the perspectives of design and wearing practices. Brazilian born and raised, Julia approaches the field from an outlook that praises diversity and holds being with the earth at its core. She holds a BSc. in Social Communication (UFMG, Brazil), MA in Visual Arts (UFRJ, Brazil) and a DA in Design (Aalto University, Finland) and currently works as Professor in Fashion Design at Aalto University. Pedro Veneroso lives and works in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Bachelor of Visual Arts (EBA/UFMG, Brazil), master with distinction in Literary Studies (FALE/UFMG, Brazil) and PhD in Arts (EBA/UFMG, Brazil), the artist researches the intersections between art, science and technology. His artistic work is directly derived from his research, which is frequently based on transdisciplinary explorations that connect philosophical and scientific investigations with poetic practices that examine the interactions between humans and nature. The deconstruction of codes, languages, cognition and everyday practices and events plays a vital role in his artistic endeavor.
