Tamara Poblete

Project Description Discarded Knowledges, in a place of their own Discarded knowledges are possibilities firing in every direction. An unstoppable leak. This exercise consists of a white sheet of paper fixed to the wall, with a text printed in black, almost entirely crossed out. Only a few scattered words remain legible. Together they form: where do discarded knowledges go? That question can be answered freely by visitors on sheets of paper left out for that purpose. Bio Tamara Poblete is a Lecturer in the Cultural Studies Group at the University of Amsterdam. She holds a PhD in Design History from the Royal College of Art, London. Her research examines the political resignification of dress in social movements, drawing on Latin American critical theory, anticolonial struggles, feminisms, and political performance. In 2026, she co-founded Malvestidas with Loreto Martínez, a transfeminist and transdisciplinary collective.
